This course will provide instruction on the rope and harness climbing technique that is used by International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborists. Two hours will be spent reviewing the basics required for ISA certification in climbing and rigging. After the class all participants that have required climbing gear (that passes inspection) will get hands on time practicing climbing techniques in a tree.
The cost of the course (not including gear) will be $200.00 for members, and $250.00 for non-members. You must pay online in advance through the SAAA website. If you want to climb in the afternoon portion of the training you must have approved gear and sign a liability waiver. If you need gear basic climbing sets will be available at Vermeer and will range from $700 to $900 or more.
There will be 2 sets of climbing gear available to rent for $150 for the day. Please register for course then email info@saarborist.org to rent the gear.
